We are seeking a School Business Manager to join our team at Marnel Junior School, part of Bourne Education Trust.
Working as part of the Senior Leadership Team, the Business Manager plays a lead role alongside the Headteacher to ensure that the school meets its educational and operational aims. Working in close cooperation with the Trust’s central finance, capital, IT and HR executives, the Business Manager upholds the highest standards of business and operational practice within the school and ensures the most effective use of resources in support of the school’s learning objectives.

Position: School Business Manager
Contract: Full time, permanent, 
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £40,642 - £45,077
Responsible to: Headteacher

Key responsibilities include:
	- In the absence of the Headteacher, and supported by the Trust central team, take delegated responsibility for financial and business decisions
 
	- Plan and manage change in accordance with the schools’ development/ strategic plans
 
	- Lead and manage administration staff in conjunction with the relevant members of the Trust’s central team
 
Requirements include:
Essential
	- Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
 
	- Minimum 2 Years of relevant work experience
 
	- Accounting qualification or equivalent significant experience in financial management
 
Desirable
	- Knowledge of school or schools’ finance and accounting systems, particularly PS Financials, Arbor, GDPRiS and Edupay
 
	- School Business Manager qualification i.e. Fellow of NASBM, DSBM, CSBM
