We are seeking Exam Invigilators to join our team at Teddington School, part of Bourne Education Trust.

Exam invigilators provide invigilation support for the examination process, and support the Examination Officer with the day to day set up and invigilation of exams.

Please note, this is a zero hours casual contract.

Job title: Exam Invigilator

Location: Teddington, TW11 9PJ

Contract: Casual, zero hours

Salary: £12.21 per hour

Start date: September 2025

Key responsibilities include:

  • To support the Exams Officer with the day to day set up and invigilation of exams
  • This may include:
  • Assisting with setting up examination venues by laying out stationery, equipment and examination papers in accordance with strict procedures
  • Assisting candidates prior to the start of examinations by directing them to their seats and advising them about possessions permitted in examination venues
  • Offering advice and guidance to unregistered candidates without allocated seats

Requirements include:

Essential

  • Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of pupils
  • Educated to GCSE Standard including Mathematics and English, or equivalent qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Desirable

  • Relevant experience of working with children in an education setting
