We are seeking a SEND Support Officer to join our team at Bourne Education Trust.
The SEND Support Officer will be responsible for developing and embedding standardised SEND processes across all our schools. In addition, the SEND Support Officer will provide advisory support to SENDCos, helping them maintain high standards and consistent practice in their work with local authorities and other agencies. This new role offers scope for growth as we enhance our SEND processes and continue to strengthen collaborative working with external SEND partners.

Position: SEND Support Officer
Contract: Permanent, term time plus two weeks (36 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum)
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Salary: Surrey Support Payscale 6 (£29,697 - £31,848 FTE;

Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain templates and protocols for SEND documentation and processes
- Coordinate external agency documentation to ensure consistency across the Trust
- Provide advisory support to SENDCos in relation to communication with local authorities
- Follow up on outstanding requests for additional funding
Requirements include:
Essential
- Knowledge of SEND processes
- Experience working in a school or education setting
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Experience as an Assistant to SENDCo or similar role
Desirable
- Experience with data management systems and reporting tools
- Background in quality assurance or compliance roles
- Training delivery experience
